Happy International Drag Day everyone!

Drag is the art of performing gender in its many varied forms. From queens, kings, and everyone in between, Drag artists have been important advocates for queer rights since the beginning of the movement. They subvert societal understandings of gender, and emphasize the fact that expression doesn’t create identity, but instead is created by it. Their performances show everyone that being different is not only okay, but also something to be celebrated.

A reminder that while this day has been set aside specifically for drag pride, drag artists have reason to be proud every day of the year. We see you every day. You are valued, you are perfect, you are loved.

Blessed Be
